The Story of Women's Conference...

I have decided to combat my boredom by coming up with a great story about our little trip to Utah for the 2008 "Awake, Arise, and Come Unto Me" Session of Women's Conference! It was a fabulous little trip and I was able to bond with my sweet Mother and my "Crazy" sister! (shh...don't tell her I said that!)

Well it all started one evening when we flew into SLC and down below was a sea of white...Snow!!! So the next morning we bundled our selves with what little warm clothing we had and set out for a great day on BYU's campus learning how to be better mothers, choose the best recreation, and how to not over schedule our kids!

We had a great time that first day! So much fun that we came home and soaked our cold and worn out bodies in the hot tub and drank warm herbal tea! Yummy! (the above picture is the only one of our 1st day!...we were to busy being spiritually edified and keeping our appendages from freezing off to take any other pictures!)

The next day was a bit warmer and we didn't have to layer as much but here is where the story really picks up! We hustled along with all of the other women in the crowd to our next class. While waiting in line for the class about "Making Prayers More Meaningful" we decided it was time to pull out our cameras and take pictures. So while waiting in line we had some fun...

We thought we were sooo funny and every time we snapped a new photo of ourselves we would bust up laughing. Keep in mind that we were in line with ohhh 100 women waiting for that snoozer...I mean class. People asked if they could take our picture for us but we refused because we were having so much fun! I referred to this class as a snoozer for the following reasons... We didn't get into the classroom and had to go to an overflow. All we got was an audio feed from the class. During that 1 hour class the three of us each took a little snoozer! Mom actually just caught flies! So as soon as that class was over we were in a hustle down to the Smith Field House where we were hoping to get into John Bytheway's class. Of course everyone else was trying to get there as well! We entered one door and followed the herd and then someone said "go to the other side!" So the herd violently changed directions and now were stampeding thru the tunnel and then once out we were all little lost sheep again until we saw the opening to the gym...Ah...we thought we would for sure make it until we get to the door and someone informs us that we have to go to the end of the line...so we walked down the track about 100yds and were at the end of the line and by that time we gave up and decided that today we would eat lunch! So off to Legend's Grill we went...

We then got to reflect on our times on BYU campus and especially our time at my beloved building the RB!

Now we were off to the Marriot Center so we could grab a great seat to see the Prophet speak! While we were waiting there was more fun to be had with our cameras!

After our fun we had a great opportunity to hear from Pres. Thomas S. Monson! He gave the concluding talk and then we gave a great sigh of enjoyment...Women's Conference turned out to be just what we three Mothers, Daughters, Wives, and Ladies needed!

So now we were left with the question..."Now what?" Well, I can tell you things got a bit scary!

We had been spiritually edified for the last 2 days and now it was time for some fun! So we did some sneaking around campus...

We found ourselves a car and went joy riding around campus!!
It was a blast but they finally caught us red handed...

We were photographed and we booked and charged for having too much fun making fools out of ourselves...Christy and I each got slapped with an extra fine because we were carrying weapons...Cameras! Here are our mugshots!

Okay that was fun! Thanks for helping me add a bit of excitement to my story! All in all we had a great time! Thanks Christy and Mom for the great memories!
